MINI SESSIONS were a hit this past Saturday, September 23rd!
1st Annual Mini Sessions at Mayfield Park – Austin, Texas – September 2017
Last weekend I held my first annual mini session event at Mayfield Park. This was a single day event, and clients (both new, and returning!) were able to choose a time slot and book a 20 minute session. Each client received 10 images in an online gallery (with free download and printing rights included!), and because there was a limit of 10 photos I tried to make sure that everybody got a good variety of images incase they wanted to do something like this.
It turns out that nobody really wants to do their family portraits in the middle of the day, while the lighting is harsh and the sun is hot (duh), but my morning and afternoon/evening sessions were completely booked up! (plus ONE daring middle-of-the-day couple haha).

I have big plans for NEXT YEAR’S mini sessions!
2018’s mini sessions will be Christmas Card sessions (non-themed), and will happen sometime in late November, after Thanksgiving. I will announce the date for these on my Facebook Page sometime in the summer, and then in early fall I will create a Facebook event with details/location/available times and officially open up booking.
This time, there will be morning and evening sessions ONLY, but there will be WAY MORE OF THEM!!

Mini sessions are great for a quick and easy update of your family portraits, or for kids that don’t have the best attention spans. But keep in mind that these types of sessions are very limited in many ways, and not able to be as in-depth as a full portrait session.

While I specialize in wedding photography, I do offer portrait sessions with families and children, high school/college seniors, etc. A typical portrait session takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour, and produces roughly 50 final images so that you have plenty to choose from to display in your home, in an album, or however you decide to use them!
